CHOR AMICA

Alzheimer’s Stories is a large work for soloists, chorus and large ensemble. In 2008, an anonymous member of the Susquehanna Valley Chorale made a donation to the chorale to help fund the commissioning of a musical work on the subject of Alzheimer’s disease.

Written by American composer Robert Cohen, in collaboration with 2012 Grammy Award winning opera librettist Herschel Garfein, this recent oratorio draws from real-life interviews to explore the experiences of those living with Alzheimer's dementia as well as their caregivers.
