Bradley Christensen, Captain Corcoran

Can love level ranks? Must lowly seaman Ralph Rackstraw pine in vain for Josephine, his captain’s lovely daughter, who, after all, has been promised by her father to Sir Joseph Porter, First Lord of the Admiralty.

This musical farce is a love story, a lesson in rank and in the proper ways of doing things. It also shows how to stand up for the desires of the heart. With witty dialogue and memorable tunes, you won’t want to miss the silliest shenanigans ever seen aboard a ship!

Since its première in 1878, Gilbert and Sullivan’s wildly popular operetta has delighted audiences with its nautical tale of love. Running for 571 performances, it was the second-longest run of any musical theatre piece up to that time.
