On January 15-16, I had the pleasure of performing Johann Strauss II's operetta, "Die Fledermaus" — a.k.a. "The Bat" with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony. Under the musical direction of Edwin Outwater, we introduced own concert-style version of the comedy, thanks to the stage direction of Daniel Isengart. Daniel was commissioned by the symphony to tweak the opera and write himself in as narrator/host. The result was a huge success, fun for everyone, with laughter from start to finish.

It was an absolute treat working with Edwin, Daniel, the symphony (both staff and instrumentalists), the soloists and chorus. I look forward to having an opportunity to perform with them again. If you are in Kitchener, make sure you attend one of their concerts. They are fantastic! Visit www.kwsymphony.ca for more information.
